PAOK resumes training under Alessio Lisci with Ivan Savvidis in attendance
PAOK Thessaloniki has resumed full training sessions at the Nea Mesimvria Athletic Center as the team prepares for the upcoming league restart. Head coach Alessio Lisci is overseeing the preparations, with the club owner, Ivan Savvidis, making a rare appearance to offer encouragement to the players and praise their recent performance. This marks the third publicly confirmed visit by Savvidis to the training ground this season, though reports suggest other unpublicized visits have occurred.
The training sessions involve a mix of tactical drills, possession games, and individual skill improvement exercises. Regarding team fitness, Luces and Chatzidiakos have returned to group training after recovering from injuries. Meanwhile, Despodov and Giannoulis are currently following individual rehabilitation programs, while Elustondo and Costa are undergoing specialized treatment. The team is maintaining a rigorous schedule to ensure full fitness before league play resumes next week, with the next session scheduled for September 29th.
