Agios Georgios Silikou to host traditional grape festival

The Community Council of Agios Georgios Silikou has announced a festival dedicated to grapes and local Cypriot traditions, scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The event will be held in the village square, aiming to showcase the richness and authenticity of the rural Cypriot landscape through a variety of cultural activities.

The program includes traditional music, dance performances, and experiential workshops for visitors of all ages. A highlight of the festival will be the culinary demonstrations led by Chryso Lefou, who will prepare traditional recipes tied to the local gastronomy. ALPHA radio will provide live musical coverage from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, featuring producers Kostas Karnakis and Rafaella Miltiadous. Attendees will also have the opportunity to sample local products and explore various designated photo spots throughout the venue. This family-oriented celebration serves as a tribute to the community’s heritage and agricultural roots.
