Road maintenance and inspection works across Cyprus motorways

Cypriot authorities have announced scheduled maintenance and inspection work affecting several motorways. Until September 30, 2026, the Department of Forests is conducting watering tasks along the embankments of the Larnaca-Paralimni, Larnaca-Kofinou, and Larnaca-Nicosia motorways. These operations take place between 08:30 and 14:30 from Monday to Thursday, requiring the temporary closure of 300-meter segments of the road shoulder. Traffic flow is not expected to be significantly impacted by these activities.

Additionally, the Department of Public Works has scheduled an inspection of the Petra tou Romiou bridge on the Paphos-Limassol motorway on September 30, 2026. Between 08:30 and 15:00, the slow lane on the bridge in the direction toward Limassol will be closed. Traffic will be diverted to the fast lane. The department has requested that drivers exercise caution, comply with temporary road signage, and follow the instructions of the police while the inspection is underway.
