Anorthosis faces defensive and offensive struggles early in the season

Anorthosis Famagusta is struggling after the first four matchdays of the league season, having secured only three points. The team has conceded nine goals, highlighting significant defensive instability. Head coach Nestor El Maestro has been forced to constantly rotate his center-back pairings due to injuries and performance issues, utilizing different combinations involving Bergstrom, Furtado, Tosic, Karamanolis, and Artymatas across the opening games.

Offensively, the situation is equally concerning as the team has scored only three goals in four matches, marking one of its worst starts in the last decade. Notably, all three goals were directly linked to left-back Kiko, who converted two penalties and provided the assist for a header by Rafa Lopes. The club has yet to score a goal from open play, relying heavily on set-pieces.
