Retrospective exhibition of John Corbidge to be held in Limassol

As part of the Limassol Art Walks 2026, the Morfi Gallery will host a retrospective exhibition titled “Whispers of Legacy – The Art of John Corbidge.” The event is scheduled to take place from October 9 to October 15, 2026, in Limassol.

The exhibition is curated by Anna Agapiou and features a collection of rare and significant works by the late artist John Corbidge (1935–2003). These pieces are sourced directly from the private collection of the artist's daughter, Melissa Corbidge. The display aims to provide art enthusiasts, collectors, and the public with an intimate perspective on Corbidge’s creative journey, visual language, and the various influences that shaped his artistic path.

John Corbidge was originally born in Sheffield, England, and demonstrated an early affinity for painting, poetry, and music. Throughout his life, he showed a profound interest in ancient civilizations. This retrospective serves to preserve and highlight his legacy within the contemporary Mediterranean art scene, allowing a new generation to engage with his distinctive contribution to the arts.
