Christina A. Apostolou Foundation marks 20th anniversary in Larnaca

The Christina A. Apostolou Foundation held its 2026 Festival of Love and Humanity at the Municipal Garden in Larnaca on Saturday, September 26. Thousands of citizens attended the event to support the foundation, which celebrates 20 years of providing assistance to children and young people with chronic illnesses. The festival, held under the auspices of Health Minister Neofytos Charalambidis, was dedicated to the memory of late founding members Sofia Louka and Andreas Lymbouris.

During the ceremony, Minister Charalambidis announced a new support initiative for Cypriot patients traveling to France for specialized medical treatment. Starting October 2, 2026, a dedicated representative will be stationed at the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Paris to provide comprehensive assistance to patients and their families during their stay in France. The Minister praised the Foundation’s long-standing contribution and expressed his commitment to continuing and strengthening the collaboration between the Ministry of Health and the organization.
