DIPA raises security concerns over school air conditioning installations

The Democratic Alignment (DIPA) party has demanded clear explanations from the Ministry of Education following a report by the Audit Office regarding the installation of air conditioning units in public schools. The party expressed significant concern over project planning, coordination, and supervision, emphasizing that the speed of implementation should not compromise the safety of students and teachers.

According to the findings, the Audit Office identified critical safety issues, including the operation of equipment without required certifications, makeshift electrical connections, and power grid overloading. Notably, in four out of five inspected schools that were officially listed as complete, fundamental work was still pending. DIPA has called for the immediate implementation of the Audit Office's recommendations and urged the Ministry to provide updated, transparent data regarding the status of every school unit to ensure all installations meet safety standards.
