Publication on the history of Asia Minor and Cyprus refugees announced

Tetraktys Films has announced the completion of the first volume of a new historical work titled "Voices and Memories of Asia Minor and Cyprus. They Do Not Fade, They Are Not Forgotten". The 768-page publication was researched, written, and edited by Dr. Chrysanthos Chrysanthou, with coordination by Stavros Papageorgiou, and is scheduled for three presentations in Nicosia, Limassol, and Athens this November.

The volume compiles extensive research from Cyprus, Greece, and Asia Minor, featuring rare photographs and primary archival testimonies. It explores the historic ties between Cyprus and cities such as Antalya, Alanya, and Mersin. A central focus of the work is the narrative of refugees who arrived in Cyprus after the 1922 catastrophe, including the personal history of Anastasis Tosounoglou from Alanya, who settled on the island and established his family there. The content covers historical, religious, and educational aspects of this diaspora.

This project represents the first part of a planned two-volume series intended to preserve the memory of those displaced by the historical events of the early 20th century.
