Cyprus University of Technology rises in 2027 World University Rankings

The Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) has improved its global standing, placing in the 501–550 category in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027. This result, announced on September 30, 2026, places the university within the top 24 percent of the 2,297 institutions evaluated worldwide, marking its highest position since 2021.

The university surpassed its previous ranking of 501–600 achieved in the prior year. Despite an increase in the number of participating universities from 2,191 to 2,297, TEPAK managed to improve its performance across four of the five primary evaluation pillars. Notable progress was recorded in the research environment, industry connections, and research quality, with the latter securing a score of 78.2, which ranks the institution 384th globally in that specific metric.

This upward trend reflects the institution's ongoing focus on research development and academic excellence. The university officials highlighted that the improved overall score serves as a testament to the institution's resilience and competitive growth amidst growing international academic pressure.
