New women artists exhibition opens at XeniArtSpace in Limassol

The XeniArtSpace in Limassol is hosting a new exhibition titled “CHANNELLED: CYPRUS – Women Artists of the Island,” which showcases the works of nine women artists connected to Cyprus. The event, which officially opened on September 22, 2026, and is scheduled to run until February 18, 2027, features a diverse range of artistic practices, including painting, sculpture, and textiles. The exhibition was inaugurated in the presence of Limassol Mayor Yiannis Armeftis, alongside various guests from the cultural and media sectors.

The project serves as the second chapter of the broader “CHANNELLED” series at the venue, following an international exhibition that opened earlier in September and continues until March 5, 2027. By integrating varied personal histories and artistic languages, the exhibition aims to explore themes of memory, identity, the body, and nature within the context of contemporary Cyprus. Rather than establishing a unified female aesthetic, the curators focus on the pluralistic experiences of the artists to provide a multi-faceted portrait of the country’s current visual landscape.
