Larnaca announces road redesign for Faneromenis Avenue

The Municipality of Larnaca announced a comprehensive redesign of Faneromenis Avenue as part of the city's Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan. The project, which is being implemented under the supervision of the Department of Public Works, aims to improve urban mobility and enhance road safety for all users. The intervention will be strictly contained within the existing road boundaries without expansion.

Key features of the redesign include the reduction of traffic lanes in specific sections, the construction of a central dividing island, and the creation of dedicated bicycle paths. Additionally, the plan involves the implementation of new light-controlled pedestrian crossings and the regulation of parking spaces. The design seeks to restrict certain right-hand turns to improve traffic flow and safety.
