Omonia football club finalizes recent player acquisitions

Omonia 29th of May and Omonia have announced significant roster adjustments as of September 30, 2026. Omonia 29th of May has officially signed 24-year-old Greek striker Anestis Vlachomitros, born on November 6, 2001. Vlachomitros joins the team with previous experience in Greek football, having played for clubs including Lamia, Egaleo, Olympiacos B, and Anagennisi Karditsas. The team is set to hold a closed-door friendly match against Karmiotissa tomorrow.

Simultaneously, Omonia has bolstered its defensive line by acquiring 21-year-old center-back Giorgos Viktoros from Nea Salamina. This move, executed as a loan with an option to purchase, comes as a strategic response to the departure of Nikolas Panagiotou to Utrecht. Viktoros is expected to provide necessary depth to the squad, which currently includes defensive players such as Koulibaly, Satka, and Simic. The club views the acquisition as a long-term investment in its defensive stability.
