Omonia Nicosia and Nea Salamina complete double loan transfer

Omonia Nicosia and Nea Salamina have finalized a series of player exchanges on September 30, 2026. Omonia acquired 21-year-old defender Giorgos Viktoras from Nea Salamina on a loan deal that includes a purchase option, aimed at filling the void left by Nikolas Panagiotou’s departure to Utrecht. In a reciprocal move, Omonia loaned 18-year-old winger Chrysis Evangelou to Nea Salamina for one year. Evangelou, a Cyprus U21 international, has been part of Omonia’s academy system since 2021 and signed his first professional contract in 2025.

In additional roster updates, Omonia 29th of May announced the signing of 24-year-old Greek striker Anestis Vlachomitros. Vlachomitros, born in 2001, brings experience from various Greek clubs including Lamia and Olympiacos B. These moves come as Omonia prepares for upcoming friendly matches, including one against Karmiotissa, to integrate their new personnel into the current tactical framework.
