Police raid illegal gambling operation in Paphos
On September 30, 2026, members of the Paphos OPE conducted a police raid on a property owned by a 35-year-old man, following a judicial warrant aimed at curbing illegal electronic gambling. During the search, which occurred in the presence of the owner, authorities seized nine computer towers suspected of being used for casino-style games, along with other related items. The 35-year-old owner has been summoned to the Paphos CID office for further questioning, while the seized computers were sent for scientific analysis.
Two other individuals found inside the premises were arrested after police discovered they had outstanding judicial fines. Both suspects were taken to the Paphos Central Police Station, where they settled their financial obligations before being released. The investigation remains active, with the Paphos CID and OPE continuing their collaborative efforts to dismantle the illegal gambling operation.
