Tsirion Stadium upgrade works completed
The Gymnastic Association Olympia (GSO) has officially announced the completion of maintenance, upgrade, and improvement works at the Tsirion Stadium in Limassol. The renovation project, which took place between July and September 2026, involved an expenditure of over €120,000 to ensure the facility meets safety and functionality standards for hosting professional football matches.
The improvements covered several critical infrastructure areas, including the stands, locker rooms, pitch, lighting, security systems, and VAR technology. These upgrades are intended to facilitate the return of Limassol football clubs, specifically Karmiotissa and Krasava, to the stadium.
Currently, the facility is awaiting formal approval from the Licensing Authority, which is scheduled to meet on Friday, October 2, 2026. The outcome of this meeting will determine if the stadium can resume hosting official matches. The GSO remains confident that the completed works meet all necessary requirements to provide a secure and functional environment for athletes and spectators alike.
