32-year-old man arrested following violent domestic stabbing in Lavrio

Shortly after midnight on October 2, 2026, a 32-year-old Romanian national was arrested after a violent domestic incident in the Kavodokanos area of Lavrio. The perpetrator allegedly accessed his 32-year-old ex-girlfriend's residence by climbing to the balcony and breaking a window with a sledgehammer. Once inside, he attacked both his ex-partner and her 33-year-old current boyfriend with a knife in the presence of their two minor children, aged 1.5 and 2.5 years.

The female victim sustained severe injuries to her back, lung, and upper limbs, requiring a transfer from Asklepieio Voulas hospital to Evangelismos hospital due to the gravity of her condition. The male victim suffered wounds to his collarbone, ribs, and genital area, and remains hospitalized in serious condition. Reports confirm the children were present during the assault, and one source notes that the attacker had threatened to kill his ex-partner during the intrusion.
