Redevelopment project launched for public space in Prodromi
The municipality of Polis Chrysochous has officially launched a redevelopment project for an underutilized public space in Prodromi. Announced on October 2, 2026, the initiative aims to transform the area into a functional recreational zone designed to foster community interaction and provide a venue for small-scale local events.
Deputy Mayor Giorgos Georgiou emphasized that the project seeks to establish a new point of reference for the village while maintaining a commitment to environmental sustainability and the local character. This redevelopment is intended to serve as the initial phase of a broader municipal strategy to upgrade public infrastructure across all municipal districts, focusing on residents' needs and improving everyday life quality.
While the project is currently in the implementation phase, municipal authorities have stated that future efforts will continue to prioritize the improvement of public spaces to better serve the local population. The initiative represents a long-standing objective that the current municipal administration has been planning since the beginning of its term.
