Cypriot women's handball teams compete in EHF European Cup

Three Cypriot women's handball teams are participating in the second round of the EHF European Cup this October. Mavrommatis Agiou Pavlou is the first to compete, facing the Lithuanian team Cascada HC Garliava in Alytus on October 2 and 4. This event marks the first-ever European appearance for Mavrommatis.

Following these matches, other Cypriot clubs will continue the campaign. APOEL KN Agiou Trimithias is scheduled to play against the Azerbaijani club Kur on October 10 and 11 in Azerbaijan, also marking their debut in a European competition. Simultaneously, the reigning double-winners E.N. Athienou will travel to Portugal to face C.J. Almeida Garrett on October 9 and 10.

These fixtures follow the earlier participation of Omonia 29M and Parnassos in the first round of the men's tournament. Looking ahead, the men's side Sabbianco Anorthosis is set to compete in the second round against AEK Athens. All participating teams aim to advance through the qualification stages in their respective competitions.
