Police search for 34-year-old man in Famagusta district

Cypriot police have issued a public appeal for information regarding the whereabouts of 34-year-old Loukas Drousiotis, a resident of the Famagusta district. The suspect is wanted to facilitate investigations into a series of burglary and theft cases, as well as the illegal possession and transportation of explosives.

These alleged crimes occurred between July and September 2026 within the Famagusta region. Authorities have officially named Drousiotis as a person of interest, and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Famagusta is currently handling the case.

The police are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward to assist in his location. Citizens are advised to contact the Famagusta CID at 23-803040, reach out via the Citizen's Line at 1460, or report to the nearest local police station. As of October 2, 2026, the investigation remains active and ongoing as authorities seek to secure the suspect for questioning regarding the aforementioned offenses.
