Primetel joins the METACITIES European research project

Primetel has officially joined the METACITIES Excellence Hub, a collaborative European research initiative focused on the digital transformation of cities across South-Eastern Europe. The project connects various organizations across Cyprus, Greece, and Bulgaria, aiming to leverage advanced technologies to foster innovation and sustainable urban development.

The initiative centers on the implementation of Digital Twins, which are high-fidelity digital representations of physical infrastructure. By utilizing Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and next-generation network connectivity, these tools allow city planners to simulate scenarios and evaluate the potential impact of interventions before implementation. The primary goal is to improve urban design, green city initiatives, and smart mobility solutions through data-driven decision-making that addresses citizen needs.

This project represents a strategic effort to enhance urban resilience and efficiency within the region. By integrating real-world data into virtual models, the consortium expects to facilitate more informed governance and infrastructure management. Ongoing efforts involve the development and testing of these technological applications to ensure they can be effectively deployed in real-world urban environments.
