Speaker of the Cyprus House of Representatives to visit Slovakia
The President of the House of Representatives of Cyprus, Annita Demetriou, will embark on an official visit to Slovakia starting Sunday, October 4, 2026. The visit is being conducted following an invitation from the President of the National Council of Slovakia, Richard Rasi.
During her stay in Bratislava, Demetriou will be received by the President of Slovakia, Peter Pellegrini. Her agenda includes separate bilateral meetings with Richard Rasi and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Robert Kalinak, aimed at strengthening parliamentary and bilateral relations between the two nations.
In addition to political discussions, Demetriou will participate in humanitarian and cultural activities. Accompanied by the Slovak Minister of Health, Kamil Sasko, she will visit the Pediatric Oncology Center of the National Institute of Pediatric Diseases, which operates under the auspices of the Slovak President. The visit also includes tours of sites of historical and cultural significance. Demetriou is scheduled to return to Cyprus on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 6.
