On Friday, October 2, 2026, the Nicosia Regional Tourism Board (ETAP Nicosia) hosted a promotional event at the Theocharakis Foundation in Athens, Greece. Held under the slogan “Nicosia: Greece, we are waiting for you,” the event aimed to bolster tourism and economic ties by highlighting the capital's cultural and business offerings.
The event featured presentations from Nicosia Mayor Charalambos Prountzos, who spoke on the city's appeal, and ETAP Nicosia President Theodoros Kringou, the keynote speaker. Other high-profile participants included Deputy Minister of Tourism Kostas Koumis, Cypriot Ambassador to Greece Stavros Avgoustidis, Bishop Gregorios of Mesaoria, and Cyprus-Greece Business Association President Iosif Iosif.
