Omonia completes loan deals for Chrysis Evangelou and Konstantinos Panagi
Omonia Nicosia has officially confirmed the loan of two young midfield talents, Chrysis Evangelou and Konstantinos Panagi, as part of a development plan intended to secure them more playing time. As of October 3, 2026, the club announced that 18-year-old Evangelou will join Nea Salamina to provide depth on the right wing. Evangelou, a member of the national U21 team, is recognized for his technical skills and explosive playing style.
Simultaneously, Konstantinos Panagi has been sent on loan to ASIL. The leadership at Omonia views both players as promising prospects for the future of the first team. This strategic decision aligns with the club's broader emphasis on integrating Cypriot talent, a policy advocated by ownership to ensure the long-term professional growth of its youth players. By gaining competitive experience elsewhere, both midfielders are expected to enhance their development before returning to the Omonia setup.
