Recent fire incidents reported in the Larnaca district

Two separate fire incidents occurred in the Larnaca district during the first weekend of October 2026. On Saturday, October 3, at 15:30, a vegetation fire broke out in the community of Troulloi. The blaze, which was attributed to the illegal burning of waste, was brought under full control by 15:50 following the intervention of the Forestry Department and the Fire Service. A small area of wild vegetation was destroyed, but no further damage was reported.

A second fire occurred on the night of Sunday, October 4, at an abandoned ground-floor shop in Larnaca. The Fire Service responded at 21:09, extinguishing the flames which had consumed a pile of discarded materials and old equipment.
