65th Wine Festival in Limassol records high attendance
The 65th Wine Festival in Limassol, Cyprus, is approaching its conclusion, reporting record-breaking attendance figures. An average of 5,000 visitors per night have frequented the Limassol Public Garden, a trend consistent with the previous year's surge. The holiday on October 1st provided a significant boost to participation, with many families choosing the event for entertainment. High sales of commemorative items, such as special glasses and bottles, further reflect the event's continued popularity.
Events are set to peak over the weekend, culminating in an official closing ceremony on Sunday. Saturday's program at the Marios Tokas Municipal Garden Theater features a musical tribute to Loukianos Kilaidonis performed by Maria Kilaidonis and Doros Dimosthenous, alongside the Diastasi Children's Choir. Other scheduled performances include the show "Under the Vraka" and Eleni Papachristoforou's shadow theater production, "Journey to the Mediterranean." Admission for the festival is set at €5 for adults and €3 for teenagers aged 13-17.
