Hypnotherapist testifies on final days of singer Giorgos Mazonakis
On September 21, hypnotherapist Nasos Komianos provided testimony to an investigator regarding the events leading up to the death of singer Giorgos Mazonakis. Komianos detailed his role in connecting the singer with a 56-year-old physician for medical treatments, including hydrotherapy and plasmapheresis, at her office on Karneadou Street. The witness stated that his initial meeting with Mazonakis occurred on September 7 in Neo Psychiko. During his testimony, Komianos denied conditioning his own therapy sessions on the singer receiving treatment from the physician.
According to the testimony, financial disagreements emerged regarding the medical costs. While Mazonakis initially agreed to the proposed program, he later expressed opposition to the 6,000-euro fee for plasmapheresis. On the Tuesday before his death, the singer reportedly communicated his decision to proceed only with hydrotherapy, citing the high cost of the other procedure. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding these medical treatments and the professional conduct of those involved remains ongoing.
