Iraklis hosts Olympiacos in Stoiximan GBL season opener

The first round of the Stoiximan GBL basketball league concludes this evening in Thessaloniki, as Iraklis welcomes Olympiacos to the Ivanofeio arena at 17:30. Iraklis enters the new season following a massive roster overhaul, having added eleven new players after finishing ninth in the previous campaign. Coach Zoran Lukic aims to stabilize the team's performance across both domestic and European competitions, seeking to improve on last year’s late-season collapse.

Olympiacos head coach Giorgos Bartzokas will have center Nikola Milutinov available for the match, as he has recovered from tendonitis. However, the visiting team will be without Jean Montero due to an illness. Furthermore, Tyrique Jones is unavailable due to a suspension, and George Papas, Giorgos Bourneles, Cory Joseph, and Bryant Dunston have been excluded from the domestic roster for this fixture.
