AEK Larnaca technical director Xavi Roca discusses club ambitions and scouting expansion

In an exclusive interview with journalist Giorgos Leonidou on October 4, 2026, AEK Larnaca technical director Xavi Roca announced plans to expand the club's scouting department. Roca highlighted that the team has already begun strengthening its infrastructure, noting the addition of Carles Martinez to the scouting staff this year, which has improved the identification of potential transfer targets.

Addressing concerns regarding the team's competitive standing, Roca expressed strong confidence in the club's ability to win the championship. He stated that he believes in the team's title-winning potential every season since his arrival at AEK. While he avoided making a definitive public promise to win the title this specific year, he maintained that the ambition remains consistent and is a core part of his ongoing strategy for the club's development.
