Nikos Vertis performs musical tribute to Giorgos Mazonakis

On October 5, 2026, popular Greek singer Nikos Vertis captured public attention by sharing a video of himself playing the hit song "Ores Mikres" on the bouzouki. The performance serves as a tribute to fellow artist Giorgos Mazonakis, who is the original performer of the track. In the video, Vertis focuses solely on the instrumental performance of the song, opting not to sing the lyrics himself.

The emotional moment gained significant traction on social media, reflecting the mutual respect between the two prominent figures in the Greek music industry. Rather than Vertis providing the vocals, the audience present at the performance joined in, singing the lyrics of the song alongside his bouzouki accompaniment. This gesture has been widely interpreted as a symbolic tribute, highlighting the professional connection and camaraderie shared by the two artists within the contemporary Greek music scene.
