New board of directors appointed for the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation
The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation has officially established its new nine-member Board of Directors following a recent appointment by the Council of Ministers. During the inaugural meeting of the board, the members held an internal vote to assign key roles within the organization, completing the transition for the non-profit private law entity.
Composer Dr. Marios Ioannou Elia was appointed as President of the board by the Council of Ministers. The elected officials include Vice President Dr. Panikos Georgoudis, General Secretary Dr. Stalo Georgiou, and Treasurer Giorgos Thoukydidis. The board is rounded out by members Athina Kythraiotou, Giorgos Papageorgiou, Olympios Christofi, Charikleia Strouthou, and Marianna Galidi. Members of the board are selected by the Council of Ministers based on their expertise, experience, and contributions to the field of music.
