New performance dates for the play Anakoutrevko in Cyprus
The theatrical monologue 'Anakoutrevko', written by Andrea Mavrou and directed by Anna Yiangiozi, returns for a new series of performances in Nicosia and Limassol. The production, which explores themes of existential anxiety, memory, and the human condition, is inspired by literary works from Samuel Beckett, Chronis Missios, and Thomas Ostermeier.
The play features a character in a state of waiting, set against a bench that serves as a backdrop for a critique of modern life, emotional exhaustion, and historical connection. Notable symbols in the play include the girl depicted on the former Cypriot pound currency and the significance of soil. Performances are scheduled for October 19 and 20 at 20:30 at the RIK Theater in Nicosia, and November 9 and 10 at 20:30 at Xydadiko in Limassol.
Tickets for the performances are priced at 15 euros. Reservations can be made by contacting 99830202. The production team includes dramaturgy by Anna Yiangiozi and Andrea Mavrou, music by The Professor, lighting design by Achilleas Mouskis, and graphic design by Stefani Ermogenidou.
