Thousands participate in the 22nd Pink Figures March in Cyprus
Thousands of citizens gathered on Saturday, October 3, for the 22nd 'Pink Figures' March organized by Europa Donna Cyprus. Held under the auspices of the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, the event serves as the country’s largest initiative to support individuals affected by breast and gynecological cancers.
The march, which featured strategic partnership from Alpha Bank Cyprus, saw participation from both the general public and political leaders. Participants walked to raise awareness about the necessity of early detection and specialized medical care for cancer patients. During the event, the Chair of the Board of Europa Donna Cyprus, Olga Papadymou, shared her personal experience, noting that she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 27.
This annual demonstration aims to highlight achievements in cancer care while advocating for future improvements in prevention and specialized treatment. It remains a key social event for mobilizing public opinion and supporting the ongoing fight against breast cancer in the region.
