Planning and assessment process for Trozena development project
The development process for a major project in the Trozena area has entered its final phase following a multi-stakeholder meeting held on September 30, 2026, at the offices of the Limassol Provincial Self-Government Organization (EOA). The investor and their team presented the project's master plan to relevant officials, including the community leader of Arsos and Gerovasa-Trozena, Giannakis Giannaki, the Environmental Commissioner, Ilias Myrianthous, and the Commissioner for the Development of Mountain Communities, Charalambos Christofinas.
During the session, the Department of Environment and the Game and Fauna Service requested additional technical studies from the developer to complete their assessment. It was officially agreed that the project will be evaluated cumulatively as a whole rather than through individual, piecemeal developments to ensure a comprehensive impact analysis. The investor's consultants have accepted these requirements and committed to submitting the necessary documentation. No construction work is currently taking place on the site. The next stage of the process involves the formal examination of the planning application by the relevant authorities.
