Food delivery driver robbed and threatened by group in Larnaca

On the night of Tuesday, October 6, 2026, a 49-year-old food delivery driver was targeted by a group of approximately ten masked individuals in Larnaca, Cyprus. The incident occurred around 11:20 p.m. when the perpetrators intercepted the driver and brandished a knife. Fearing for his safety, the victim abandoned his motorcycle and fled the scene on foot.

The victim later located his motorcycle in a different part of the city, while a nearby investigation revealed his delivery bag, which contained an undisclosed sum of money and personal documents, had been set on fire. The Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) has launched an investigation into the robbery and the destruction of property.

Authorities are currently working to identify the ten individuals involved in the attack. As of now, no arrests have been announced, and the investigation remains ongoing to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident and locate the perpetrators.
