Philip Morris Cyprus appoints Christos Tsagkalidis as general manager

Philip Morris Cyprus has announced the appointment of Christos Tsagkalidis as its new General Manager. The leadership transition coincides with the company’s fifth anniversary of operations on the island, marking a new phase for its local organizational structure.

Tsagkalidis brings extensive experience to the role, having joined Philip Morris International (PMI) in 2018. Before this appointment, he served as the Head of Strategy and Program Delivery for Europe at the company’s headquarters. In that capacity, he was responsible for leading strategic initiatives and operational excellence programs, particularly those focused on the company’s long-term vision of a smoke-free future. His background also includes significant experience in business consulting, entrepreneurship, and international corporate management.

As General Manager, Tsagkalidis is expected to leverage his expertise in business transformation and innovation to drive the company’s strategic priorities in the Cyprus market. His appointment follows a successful tenure in various European and global leadership roles, where he contributed to the refinement of financial and corporate operations across the multinational organization.
