Opera star Aida Garifullina to perform at Curium Ancient Theatre

Internationally acclaimed soprano Aida Garifullina is set to make her debut in Cyprus with two exclusive concerts at the historic Curium Ancient Theatre on October 9 and 10, 2026. The performances will feature the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra under the direction of artistic director Myron Michailidis, alongside soloists Kirill Sikora, a tenor from the Bolshoi Theatre, and Semyon Antakov, a baritone from the Mikhailovsky Theatre. The concert program includes iconic selections from Giuseppe Verdi’s operas, such as Rigoletto and La Traviata.

Garifullina, a soloist at the Vienna State Opera, is a globally recognized artist who has performed at major venues including La Scala, the Royal Opera House, and the Metropolitan Opera. She gained worldwide recognition in 2018 when she performed alongside Robbie Williams at the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Moscow. The event is organized by Celebrity Gala in collaboration with Papadopoulos & Schinnis Productions, with sponsorship from Amby Urban Island Developer.
