Green Week 2026 announced for Limassol district
The Green Week 2026 initiative was officially presented on October 7 at the Panos Solomonidis Hall in Limassol. Scheduled to take place from October 12 to October 18, the event will feature ten distinct actions across the Limassol district aimed at promoting energy conservation, innovation, and sustainability.
The press conference was attended by several local officials, including Polemidia Mayor Andros Theodorou, EOA Limassol General Manager Socrates Metaxas, Yermasoyia Deputy Mayor Christos Papamichail, Kourion Municipal Engineer Solonas Loukas, and EMEL CEO Giorgos Kyriakou. The initiative is organized by the Cypronetwork Group, represented by Executive Chairman Christos Michaelidis, and is sponsored for the fourth consecutive year by the Green Energy Group, whose CEO, Pampos Kyriakou, was also in attendance.
This week-long program is designed to bridge the gap between local government, the business sector, and the educational community. By fostering collaboration among these stakeholders, organizers intend to implement practical solutions for environmental sustainability throughout the region. The series of events aims to encourage public participation and awareness regarding modern energy challenges.
