Omonia faces Karmiotissa in Cyprus League return

Omonia returns to domestic action today, October 9, 2026, at 19:00, facing Karmiotissa at the Stelios Kyriakides stadium for the 5th round of the Cyprus League. After the recent international break, head coach Henning Berg has his full squad available, including new signing Giorgos Viktoros, though the team will be missing Aiting and Odubajo. Omonia aims to secure their first back-to-back league victory of the season and extend their unbeaten streak, while navigating a demanding schedule that includes a upcoming UEFA Europa League match against Celje in Slovenia next Thursday.

Henning Berg will be absent from the bench due to a suspension, forcing the coaching staff to manage the side from the stands. Karmiotissa, currently seeking their first win of the season, faces Omonia without players Tachtsidis, Ouamu, and Elchmidi. The match will be broadcast live via Cytavision and Omonia TV, serving as a critical step for Omonia as they attempt to climb the league table and maintain momentum before their European commitment.
