Cyprus Futsal League 2026-2027 season kicks off

The 28th Cyprus Futsal League season officially begins on October 8, 2026, featuring the participation of ten teams. The competition is structured in four distinct phases, starting with an 18-round opening stage that determines the seeding for the subsequent play-offs, semi-finals, and finals.

A notable change in this season's regulations involves the bottom-tier clubs; the teams finishing in 9th and 10th place will compete against each other in a series of classification matches to determine their final standing. Following the opening phase, the top eight teams will advance to the knockout stages to compete for the championship title.

The tournament commences on October 8 with three matches, including the Omonia Nicosia vs. Apollon game, which will be broadcast live on Cytavision, followed by two additional matches on October 9. The opening round includes fixtures between Ararat and AEK, AEL and APOEL, as well as Elpida Astromeriti against Doxa Palaiometochou and Athienou AC against EN Latsion. The comprehensive rules and the specific tournament calendar are outlined in the official league proclamation.
