Six suspects rob couple at knife-point in Limassol
A home invasion and armed robbery occurred at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Thursday in the Sfalangiotissa area of Limassol. Six individuals, whose faces were covered, forced their way into a residence occupied by a foreign couple. Under the threat of knives, the perpetrators restrained the two occupants and stole approximately 5,000 euros in cash along with jewelry estimated to be worth 200,000 euros.
The victims did not report the incident immediately; the robbery was reported to the Limassol Police Division later on Thursday morning. Police officers have since arrived at the scene to collect forensic evidence, including potential surveillance footage from the vicinity. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the crime.
The investigation is currently ongoing as authorities seek to identify and apprehend the suspects. Police spokesperson Byron Byronos confirmed that the perpetrators had their faces covered during the attack. The police are continuing to conduct interviews and examine available evidence to track the individuals responsible for the high-value burglary.
