Market value of top Cypriot footballers
According to data from the specialized platform Transfermarkt as of October 8, 2026, the list of the most valuable Cypriot footballers is led by Marcus Edwards. The 27-year-old winger, who represents the Cyprus national team and plays for Burnley, occupies the top spot with a market valuation of 6 million euros, significantly ahead of his peers.
Following him in the rankings are Ioannis Pittas (CSKA Sofia) with 2.5 million euros, and the duo of Loizos Loizou (Red Star Belgrade) and Stelios Andreou (Estoril), each valued at 2 million euros. The remaining top ten list includes Hektor Kyprianou, Grigoris Kastanos, Charalampos Charalambous, Ioannis Kosti, Nikolas Panagiotou, and Konstantinos Laifis. The total market value of these ten players is estimated at 19.6 million euros.
A notable observation from the report is the shift in professional standing for Cypriot athletes, with the majority of the top ten players now competing for clubs outside of the domestic league. Only two players on the current list are active within the Cyprus League by Stoiximan, highlighting a trend of increased international career opportunities for national team players.
