Panathinaikos striker Andreas Tetteh honored with 2025 FIFPRO Activism Award
In November 2025, the International Federation of Professional Footballers (FIFPRO) awarded the 2025 Activism Award to Andreas Tetteh, a striker for Panathinaikos and the Greek national team. The recognition was granted for his dedicated efforts in raising social awareness regarding racism and discrimination in sports.
Following the award, Tetteh announced a collaboration with the Panhellenic Professional Football Players Association (PSAPP) to organize a football festival specifically for refugee children. This initiative will be funded by the proceeds associated with the prize. The 25-year-old athlete emphasized that the award reminds him of the professional responsibility that comes with his public platform as his career progresses.
In addition to his advocacy work, Tetteh highlighted his personal commitment to social issues, including a notable gesture of dedicating a goal scored against Viktoria Plzen to a child battling cancer. Tetteh noted that this honor arrived during a significant period of transition in his professional life, following his transfer to Panathinaikos and his debut with the Greek national team.
