Coroner concludes suicide in death of three sisters in Brighton
An inquest in the United Kingdom has concluded that three sisters died by suicide in Brighton on May 13, 2026. The victims, identified as 36-year-old Jane Adetoro, 32-year-old Kristina Walters, and 31-year-old Rebecca Walters, who resided in West London, were found in the sea early that morning. Coroner Penelope Schofield determined that the women, who could not swim, intentionally entered the water under adverse conditions after dark.
Evidence presented during the investigation indicates the act was premeditated. On May 11, the sisters traveled to Birmingham, where they were dropped off by a taxi near a street where their mother previously lived. The investigation revealed that the sisters' mother had also died by suicide in a similar manner in 2010, sixteen years prior to the recent tragedy. The inquest highlights the deliberate movements of the women in the days leading up to their deaths as key evidence of planning.
