Pianist Daniil Orlov to perform IMPROBACH concert at PSI Foundation in Limassol
Pianist and composer Daniil Orlov will perform a musical monologue titled IMPROBACH on Sunday, October 11, at 19:00 at the PSI Foundation in Limassol. Known for his creative collaborations with director Kirill Serebrennikov, Orlov utilizes the works of Johann Sebastian Bach as a foundation for spontaneous improvisation. The concert is offered with free admission, though prior registration is required for attendance.
During the performance, Orlov aims to reinterpret Bach’s music by highlighting elements of rock-like energy, vulnerability, and imaginative intensity. By blending classical forms with his own musical language, the artist ensures that each session remains unique, as the performance is shaped in real time by the acoustics of the venue and the interaction with the audience. The event serves as part of the parallel programming for the ongoing exhibition titled "Bill Viola. Unspoken," which is currently hosted at the PSI Foundation. The concert represents an exploration of the intersection between rigid classical structures and the freedom of live musical invention.
