Apollon secures victory against Krasava ENY

Apollon Limassol defeated Krasava ENY 3-1 at the Ammochostos-Epistrofi stadium on October 10, 2026, during the fifth round of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan. The match marked the debut of Guillermo Romo as the head coach for the home side, who have now lost all five of their league games this season. Assuncao opened the scoring for the visitors in the 38th minute, but De Lucas equalized for Krasava shortly after in the 42nd minute. The game remained deadlocked until the closing stages, when substitutes Gaspar and Escriche played pivotal roles. Gaspar restored Apollon's lead in the 80th minute, and Rodriguez sealed the victory with a third goal in stoppage time.

Following this result, Apollon rose to third place in the league standings with nine points, narrowing the gap with the leaders. Conversely, Krasava ENY remains at the bottom of the table without a single point. While the club's administration has faced internal issues, including a public dispute regarding the future of player Dmytro Chygrynskiy and a post-match incident during a friendly against APOEL, the team aims to focus on upcoming fixtures, including a Cup match against Spartakos Kitiou. Apollon is set to host Nea Salamina in the next league round.
