Apollon secures victory against Krasava ENY

On October 10, 2026, Apollon Limassol defeated Krasava ENY with a score of 3-1 at the Ammochostos-Epistrofi stadium during the 5th matchday of the Cyprus League. The match marked the official debut of Guillermo Romo as the new head coach of Krasava ENY, who replaced Ivan Stojkovic after the team failed to secure points in their opening four matches. Despite the managerial change, the home team remained at the bottom of the table without any points, while Apollon moved to nine points.

The game remained competitive for most of the duration. Assuncao opened the scoring for Apollon in the 38th minute, but De Lucas equalized for Krasava ENY shortly after in the 42nd minute. The decisive moments arrived in the final ten minutes, as substitute Gaspar scored in the 80th minute, followed by a stoppage-time goal from Rodriguez to seal the 3-1 victory. Goalkeeper Kunn and defender Malekkidis were credited with critical defensive interventions that prevented the hosts from taking the lead in the second half.

Following this result, Krasava ENY is preparing for a cup match against Spartakos Kitiou, while Apollon faces Nea Salamina next Saturday. The home team continues its search for its first league points, while the visitors aim to maintain their positive momentum in the standings.
