Pafos FC spokesperson provides update on squad status and upcoming derby

Pafos FC spokesperson Christoforos Matthaiou discussed the team’s preparations ahead of their upcoming away match against Anorthosis at the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium. Following a league break, most of the squad resumed training over a week ago, although players Sunjic, Dragomir, and Semedo were scheduled to rejoin the team on October 9, 2026. The club aims to return to high-quality performances after the break.

Matthaiou addressed the team’s ongoing difficulty in scoring, noting that while the squad is successfully creating goal-scoring opportunities, they have struggled to convert them into goals, attributing some of this to a lack of fortune. The technical staff is currently monitoring the recovery of player Correia, hoping he will be available for selection in the upcoming derby.
