Far-right attack on 32-year-old in Elefsina
On Thursday afternoon, October 8, 2026, a 32-year-old man was attacked and injured with a knife outside his home on Konstantinoupoleos Street in Elefsina, Greece. The victim, who is associated with leftist circles, reported that two assailants approached him while he was walking his dogs, claiming to control the area and declaring their far-right affiliation before attacking him.
The perpetrators allegedly motivated the violence as revenge for the publication of their personal details on an anti-authoritarian website following a previous incident in August. The victim, however, stated that he was not involved in that incident and had no connection to the data leak. Police are investigating the attack as having clear political motivations.
Authorities have identified the two suspects, who are known to law enforcement, and a manhunt is currently underway to apprehend them. The investigation is ongoing as officials examine the potential link between this assault and the broader context of extremist tensions in the region.
