Third Cyprus Poster Triennial opens in Limassol
The 3rd Cyprus Poster Triennial (CPT), a non-profit graphic design platform, is currently being held at the Limassol Municipal Arts Centre – Papadakis Warehouses. The 2026 edition showcases an exhibition of over 300 selected works, curated from more than 3,000 entries submitted by creators representing over 100 countries. This international event underscores the growing global influence of the Triennial, which was established in 2019 to promote graphic design and visual communication as dynamic tools for shaping public discourse and reflecting societal identities.
The exhibition is structured around six distinct categories: Social Posters, Cultural Posters, Advertising & Commercial Posters, Animated/Motion Posters, Experimental Posters, and a special theme titled "Modernism(s) and the Fabulous Now!," which invites artists to interpret the legacy of modernism through a contemporary lens. The majority of the selected entries fall within the social and cultural themes. As an independent initiative, the CPT continues to position Cyprus as a significant meeting point for the global design community within the Eastern Mediterranean region.
