Lidl Cyprus and Greece announce leadership transition for 2027
Lidl Cyprus and Lidl Hellas have announced a formal leadership transition effective March 1, 2027. Miltos Forozidis, who currently serves as both chief executive officer and president of the boards for both regional divisions, will step down at the end of February 2027 to pursue a new career path within the international Schwarz Group.
Georgios Tokatlis has been appointed as his successor and will assume the role of chief executive officer for both markets on March 1, 2027. Tokatlis is a 21-year veteran of the company and is currently the chief executive officer of Lidl Denmark. His professional background includes various senior executive roles held within Greece and five years of experience in leadership positions across Scandinavia, which the company highlights as essential international experience for his new role.
The transition concludes a long tenure for Forozidis at the helm of the Greek and Cypriot operations. Following the handover at the end of February 2027, the company will operate under the new leadership of Tokatlis as he integrates his regional and Scandinavian experience into the strategic management of the Greek and Cypriot business units.
